Pricing

Pricing and How It Works

Know your starting fee before we ever meet.

We work with business owners, real estate investors, and individuals whose returns need a CPA’s attention — K-1s, businesses, rentals, trusts, and international income. You’ll receive an estimated fee range and an engagement letter that sets out what’s included before any work begins.

Answer a few questions below and you’ll see your starting fee in about a minute. If we’re a good fit, you can create your client portal account right away.

How it works

  1. Check your fit — about 1 minute. Answer a few questions about your return. You’ll see your starting fee right away, before you share anything sensitive.
  2. Create your client portal account. If we’re a good fit, you’ll create a secure portal account. Right after signing up you’ll receive our Client Application.
  3. Meet with us — free Tax Discovery meeting. Once your application is complete, book a free Zoom meeting with Victoria Bogdanovich, CPA. Upload your last two years of tax returns at least 24 hours before the meeting so we can review your situation and discuss an estimated fee range on the call. This meeting is for getting to know each other; it does not include advice about your specific situation.
  4. Receive your engagement package. After the meeting, we upload your engagement package to the portal: our terms of service, privacy policy, your estimated fee and scope of work, and a checklist of what we’ll need. Once you sign and pay the deposit, we get to work.

Business return (Form 1120S, 1065, or 1120) $1,500
Business Owner Package — business + personal return together $2,750

Starting prices are a guide. Your final fee is an estimated range we discuss at the Tax Discovery meeting, after reviewing your last two years of returns.

What affects your fee

Your fee grows with what your return has to cover. These items add to the starting fee:

  • K-1s from partnerships, S corporations, trusts, or estates
  • A sole proprietorship or single-member LLC
  • Ownership in an S corporation, C corporation, or partnership
  • Rental property
  • Living in more than one state, or property or a business in another state
  • An estate, or inherited assets or accounts
  • Foreign bank accounts, foreign income, or gifts and inheritances from abroad

Some situations are quoted individually after we review your last two years of returns: foreign accounts or income, two or more rentals, property or a business in another state, and estates.

Quoted separately: bookkeeping (available to our tax clients), help with IRS or state notices, and year-round support such as tax planning and quarterly estimate calculations.

Business Owner Package

One price for your business and personal return

Starting at $2,750

When you own a business, your business return and your personal return depend on each other — the K-1, your salary and distributions, estimated payments, and planning for next year. We prepare both together, so nothing falls through the cracks between two preparers.

Includes:

  • Business return (Form 1120S, 1065, or 1120) with one state return
  • Your personal return (Form 1040), including your salary, distributions, or K-1 from your business
  • Both returns reviewed together so everything matches
  • One engagement, one portal, one team

Your final fee is an estimated range we discuss after reviewing your prior two years’ returns at the Tax Discovery meeting. Additional entities, rentals, multi-state filings, foreign items, and bookkeeping clean-up are quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions

My return is simple — W-2 wages and some investments. Are you the right fit? Our fees are designed for returns that need a CPA’s attention. If your return includes only W-2 wages and simple investment income — interest, dividends, and ordinary stock sales — a lower-cost preparer may suit you better. Equity compensation such as RSUs, stock options, or ESPP shares is different: it often needs a CPA’s attention to avoid paying tax twice on the same income. If you’d still like us to prepare it, our regular starting fee applies.

Is the Tax Discovery meeting really free? Yes. It’s a no-obligation Zoom meeting to get to know each other and prepare your quote. It doesn’t include advice about your specific situation — for that, book an Initial Consultation ($295, credited if you hire us).

Why do you ask for my last two years of returns? They show us what your return actually involves, so we can give you a reliable fee range on the call instead of a guess. Please upload them to the portal at least 24 hours before your meeting.

Do you prepare late or unfiled returns? Yes. Each late year is priced 20% above our regular fee. If your unfiled years involve foreign accounts or assets, we start with a paid consultation, because those situations often carry significant penalty exposure.

Do you offer bookkeeping? Yes, for business owners whose tax returns we prepare. It’s quoted separately. Learn more about bookkeeping and accounting.

What if my situation turns out more complex than the starting fee? Your final fee is set in the engagement package, after we’ve reviewed your returns and before any work begins. Your engagement package sets out your estimated fee and what it covers. Work outside that scope is billed separately.
